If you’re building a WordPress site, you MUST use WP Engine. Their support is unparalleled, even for someone like myself who has been dabbling in web development for 20+ years and pretty good at troubleshooting. If you’re interested in reading more, you can check out this blog on why I love WP Engine. In my opinion, it’s worth it to pay a bit more because you really do, get what you pay for.
I have been using hostgator for about 10 years now. If I have a client who is looking for a more budget friend-ly hosting provider, I always refer them to hostgator. They offer very affordable solutions, generous space & bandwidth.
I use acuity for scheduling my appointments across multiple businesses and various locations. Eliminates some of the back and forth and allows people to see and choose a meeting time based on your availability. Syncs with multiple calendars, has intake forms, packages & coupons.
If you need email marketing that is a bit more than MailChimp can handle, and are looking for more automation – CovertKit is the way to go! Very intuitive and powerful for creating funnels and segmentation.
I use fresh books for all of my recurring monthly invoices, and am hoping to switch to them entirely in 2019. However old habits die hard! Love all of the added features and integrations they offer, and has a very user-friendly interface.
Grasshopper is a versatile, amazing tool that provides professional business numbers for your business. Out of the box the app is feature rich, and they pack quite a bit of value. You can forward calls to multiple phones, have voicemails transcribed, receive texts, and have a toll free or vanity number.
Absolutely hands-down one of my must use tools. Best to host your email, docs, calendar, files and more. I love it because I can keep all my client info in one central location. Plus, being familiar with gmail I love that I get to use the gmail interface for my business email.
Leadpages are great for project launches, campaigns and landing pages. They offer integration with a lot of other apps to really super charge their already powerful landing pages. The user interface is extremely easy to navigate and they provide a lot of really great clean and modern templates.
I can not live without my Dailygreatness planner. It keeps me focused and motivated. I love being able to look back at my notes and see how much I’ve accomplished and grown quarterly or annually. I always get the original and business planner every year.
ProveSrc is a great little social proof tool that has a great free option. Customizable and lightweight, provides a fun little interaction for sites while giving site owners an analytics snapshot.
A more robust social proof tool that can integrate more deeply with various third party softwares to really pack a powerful social impact. As an effective call to action, sites with social proof tools see a better conversion rate on their sites.
If you use instagram and/or Pinterest for your business, tailwind is a must use app. Takes a lot of the guess work out of social media posting and offers a lot of intuitive touches. Puts your insta & Pinterest on auto-pilot (except for the commenting & engaging part – you can’t get out of that!).
Courses are all the buzz lately, and I have plenty of clients coming to me asking me to help them set up courses. I always recommend they start out with teachable, because in my opinion it is the most affordable, user-friendly (both on the course creator and student) solution that you can start for free and has the capability to scale with you.
I always encourage my clients to use Typeform. They are more fun and engaging than more forms that exist, and I can have my clients create the forms as they want and I simply embed them into their website for them!
Simple, and streamlined. There isn’t a 50 point checkout, and they aren’t trying to sell you 100’s of other things besides domain names (or anything you wouldn’t need with a domain). Their user interface is also very easy to navigate, and support has always been helpful if I’ve ever needed them.
This is great for businesses who are looking to incentivize users to generate referrals to your business service or product. Setting campaigns up is relatively easy to do and it is pretty simple to navigate on the affiliate end as well.
